The Ocean State Chorus, a chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, will perform a concert of barbershop-style songs at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at EPOCH Senior Living on Blackstone Boulevard. The Ocean State Chorus is a group of about 30 men who get together once a week under the direction of Steve Barrett to learn and perform four-part harmony. Along with many traditional barbershop songs, they often include modern musical arrangements as well as spiritual and patriotic hymns in their concerts. Their membership includes men from all over Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts.
