Fire at Tanglewood Drive Doused in Half an Hour
The fire was in the first floor of a raised ranch in Riverside.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — A fire in the first floor of a raised ranch took East Providence firefighters about half an hour to put out, according to Battalion Chief Stephen Whitaker.
The call came in around 10:23 a.m., he said. Two ladder trucks and four engines and a rescue responded.
No one was injured, he said, and there were no pets involved.

"The fire was in a couple of rooms" on the first floor, he said.
The American Red Cross said it is helping one family of two adults after the fire and provided assistance to meet the family's immediate needs.
