Firefighters Put Out Cooking Mishap on Cadorna Street
The resident told rescue workers that she was frying food and then left the area unattended.
A cook's negligence resulted in a fire on Cadorna Street at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Captain Oscar Elmasian, firefighters put out a fire in the three-season addition of a home located at 109 Cadorna Street. The resident told rescue workers that she was frying food and then left the area unattended. When she returned, the area was engulfed.
One occupant at the scene was checked for smoke inhalation and released.
