Firefighters Respond to Mobile Camper Fire in Riverside

No one was injured, but the camper was damaged extensively.

East Providence firefighters responded to a fire this morning at a mobile camper in Riverside.

The home was in owner's backyard, and the owner had turned the heat on to get it ready for a trip, Fire Marshal Oscar Elmasian said. The home was on Willett Avenue.

The owner then saw heavy smoke coming from the roof vent. Firefighters responded and put the fire out, Elmasian said. No one was injured, but there was extensive damage to the camper, he said.
