Firefighters Responded to Small Fire Sunday Morning
A woman walking her dog noticed a glow in a neighbor's backyard and heard crackling.

A small fire broke out Sunday morning because of a masonry fireplace.
A woman was walking her dog shortly before 6 a.m. when she saw a glow in the backyard of 56 Fourth St., Fire Marshal Oscar Elmasian said. She also heard crackling.
Firefighters responded and found that the fire started in a covered patio at the rear of the backyard at 56 Fourth St., Elmasian said. People who lived there had used a masonry fireplace in the patio the night before, he said.
