Gary Hylander to present ‘The Election of 1940’ at EPOCH

EPOCH Assisted Living on the East Side will welcome Stonehill College
professor Gary Hylander for a history discussion on Friday, May 16 at 2 p.m.
Hylander will discuss the candidates and major issues of the 1940 presidential
election, and how Franklin D. Roosevelt won a comfortable victory against
businessman Wendell Willkie, despite running for his third term. Hylander is a
popular speaker and frequently gives history lectures at local venues. This
