Great Coffee & Conversation Found at the Sage Cafe in Riverside, RI

Great coffee and conversation can be found at the Sage Cafe' in Riverside, RI. I started coming to the Sage Cafe about a month ago. I was meeting with a local mortgage person and thought this would be a nice place to discuss future business.  I didn't realize what a "gem" I have in my own neighborhood. 

 The Sage Cafe' is a family affair. They opened their doors in March 2013 and have been drawing new and returning customers daily. The day I was here the 10 or so tables were nearly filled and their was a buzz of various conversations going on. There were a couple of Mom's with their babies, a few college age students talking about a class, a couple of gentlemen reading their newspapers or Kindles, and a Realtor (that's me!) and her new mortgage lender meeting for the first time to discuss future business. 

 The owner/manager, Jill Ingham and her husband Jason are behind the counter creating mouth-watering crepes (gluten-free as well), delicious coffee concoctions, and pouring healthy smoothies for their customers. There are muffins, and other goodies to choose from, including Gluten-Free choices from Eva Ruth's Gluten-Free Bakery (another local business in Middletown, RI.). As I am a Gluten-Free consumer, I appreciate my local cafe carrying these items.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that Sage Cafe' displays local artists' works of art on their walls. As I write this blog I am sitting next to several paintings done by my friend, local artist Jorge Paricio of Barrington, RI. 

While sitting here writing this the cafe is abuzz with activity. Jill greets those she knows by name, she stops by their table to chat, when she's not busy creating a mouth-watering crepes or pouring coffee. I love seeing local businesses flourish, and I believe the Sage Cafe' is the BEST place to find great coffee and conversation in Riverside, RI.
