Ilda T. de Medeiros, 84, Retired Jewelry Worker

Ilda T. de Medeiros, 84 of Farnum Street, East Providence, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was 84.
 
She was the wife of the late Luis Castro de Medeiros. Born March 12, 1929 in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Francisco and Lucinda (Teixeira) Medeiros.

She worked for Monet Jewelery Company for 20 years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and loved spending time with her family and tending to her garden.

She leaves two daughters, Zita Pinarreta of Toronto, Canada, Gabriela Silvestre of East Providence, two sons, Luis Medeiros and Joseph Medeiros of East Providence, three sisters, Maria C. Raposo, Lucinda Lima, Elvira Lima of Toronto, Canada, nine grandchildren, Bradley, Vanessa, Randy, Christopher, Justin, Brenton, Breana, Monica, Sean. two great grandchildren, Malia and Ashton. Several Nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel Medeiros, Joseph Medeiros and Urania Couto.

Her funeral will be held today, Aug. 5, 2013 from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence at 8:45am. It will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of The Holy Rosary Church, Traverse Street Providence. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
