Liberty Tax Service Offers Free Tax Preparation for Senior Citizens

Liberty Tax Service will offer free tax preparation to senior citizens during its “Senior Citizen Appreciation Days” the week of March 17 through 23, 2014 at participating Liberty Tax Service offices. Any taxpayer who is 65 and over can have their taxes prepared for free at the Liberty Tax office at 2775 Pawtucket Avenue. This offer is for first-time customers only.

“Many companies offer a Senior Citizen discount – maybe a percentage off on a certain day – but at Liberty Tax we want senior citizens to have free tax preparation. Times are tight and some seniors find themselves living on a fixed income. This is just Liberty’s way of helping the seniors in our community stretch their dollars,” said Paul Pliakas, owner of Liberty Tax Service in East Providence.

To find a local Liberty Tax office, call 866-871-1040 or visit www.libertytax.com. Liberty Tax does take appointments; however, they are not necessary.
