Local Company Supports East Bay Coalition for the Homeless with Toy Drive

EP's Aspen Aerogels is collecting toys to support the East Bay Coalition for the Homeless for the third year in a row.

For the third consecutive year, Aspen Aerogels is supporting the East Bay Coalition for the Homeless’ holiday toy drive.

“We are collecting new, unwrapped toys to soften the hardship many families in our area are facing,” said Melissa Zerek, Manager of Human Resources at Aspen Aerogels.

Aspen Aerogels’ Community Involvement Team, which includes Jeffrey Ball, Sheli Borges, Chris Downing, Joe Fraser, Margie Mosher, Dan O’Hara, Gerry Simpson, Jeannie Villalona-Rodriguez and Melissa Zerek, is collecting toys for children ages 6 months to 12 years old.
Aspen Aerogels will be collecting toys through Thursday, December 18th at its East Providence facility located on 3 Dexter Road.

The Coalition, part of the East Bay Community Action Program, is a non-profit program that provides housing, education and emergency rental assistance to Rhode Island’s east bay area. The program assists families in regaining financial stability and helps make sure their basic needs are met.

“Whether you donate a gift card or a baseball glove, no contribution is too small or too large,” said Diane Smith, Director of the East Bay Coalition for the Homeless. “The continued support of friends and neighbors like Aspen Aerogels has changed lives. No family should go forgotten during the holidays.”
