Mother of Three Fatally Stabbed on Mothers Day
A 43-year-old former ex-boyfriend police say is responsible has been arrested.

A mother of three is dead and her ex-boyfriend is in police custody after he allegedly fatally stabbed her on Mother’s Day in her East Providence home.
East Providence police identified the victim as 42-year-old Christine Santurri.
Police were dispatched to her Providence Avenue apartment at around 11:10 a.m. on Sunday.

Police said Yuland G. Stan, 43, of no permanent address, has been arrested in connection with the murder and Santurii’s 21-year-old daughter witnessed the attack.
Stan was pulled from Bullocks Cove by police in an apparent attempt to get away by running through the woods and entering the water.

East Providence Police Chief Christopher Parella said that police have responded to the address for domestic violence complaints in the past and the victim had a restraining order.
