Obituary: Raymond Joseph DesGranges, 92

Raymond Joseph DesGranges, 92, formerly of the Goldsmith Manor, died Friday evening, May 15, 2015 at the Waterview Villa. Born Oct. 20, 1922, in Providence, he was a son of the late Felix and Eva (Meunier) DesGranges.

Raymond was a US Navy veteran of WWII.

He was the brother of Gloria SaoBento of East Greenwich, Russell T. DesGranges of No. Kingstown and of the late Louis A. DesGranges; the uncle of Russell Thomas DesGranges, Steven SaoBento, and Kris SaoBento Price; and the great uncle of Bruce, Marisa and Christian SaoBento.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at 10am in St. Martha’s Church, 2595 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence. Military honors and burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
