One Dead after East Providence Fire
The fire on Fenmoor Street started at around 3:30 a.m.

One person has died after a fire on Fenmoor Street in East Providence early Wednesday morning.
Firefighters said that an elderly couple lived in the home.
The fire broke out at around 3:30 a.m. in the two-story home.

Two firefighters were transported to the hospital for injuries sustained while fighting the fire; a firefighter suffered a fractured ankle, the other hurt an elbow.
One person who lived in the house was not home at the time, firefighters said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The house was heavily damaged as a result of the fire.
