Patricia J. (Hurley) Brothers, 83

Patricia J. (Hurley) Brothers, of Rosemere Drive, Rumford, East Providence, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at the Orchard View Manor. She was 83.

She was the wife of the late Donald F. Brothers. Born in Brockton, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Joseph D. and Mary A. (Tobin) Hurley.

Brothers was a Personnel Receptionist for the Department of Employment Security before retiring. She was an avid dog lover, had a love for writing poetry and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, East Providence.  

She leaves two daughters, Mary E. Freitas of Riverside and Anne M. Giarrusso of Warwick; one son, Paul F. Brothers of East Providence and seven grandchildren. She was the sister of the late John and Joseph Hurley.  

Her funeral will be held on Friday, Jan. 25, at 9 am from the the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Sacred Heart Church, Taunton Avenue, East Providence.

Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery. Calling hours are  today from 5 to 8 am at Perry-McStay Funeral Home.
