PHOTOS: 1,000 Cyclists Rip Through East Providence

Athletes rode over 150 miles as part of a fundraiser to fight multiple sclerosis.

Did you see hundreds of two-wheel riding, Spandex-wearing athletes in East Providence this past weekend?

On Saturday, June 16, over 1,000 bicyclists rode through East Providence as part of a fundraiser to support the MS Society.

Bicyclists started in Newport, crossed over the Newport bridge and made their way across Rhode Island, eventually making it to the Henderson bridge, then onto Massasoit Avenue through Rumford. The first day ended at Massachusetts' Wheaton College. Riders slept at the college. On Sunday, they rode back to Newport.
