Police Investigating Monday Night Stabbing
An East Providence man who was stabbed was taken to the hospital by his friends.

East Providence police are investigating the stabbing of a 22-year-old man outside a convenience store Monday night.
The incident took place at the No. 1 convenience store at 658 N. Broadway, said Capt. Richard Frazier. The suspect got into an argument with the victim and the suspect stabbed him in the chest.
The man's friends took him to Rhode Island Hospital, which in turn alerted East Providence police, Frazier said. His injuries were not life-threatening.
