Police Log: Youth Shoots Boy in Face with BB Gun

An arrest does not necessarily indicate a conviction.

  • Michael Costa, 27, of 81 First St., East Providence, was charged with violating a no-contact order on Wednesday, Sept. 14, at approximately 5:23 p.m.
  • Kelly Cabral, 25, of 11A Evergreen Drive, East Providence, was arrested under a Sixth Division Distict Court bench warrant; Eric Letourneau, 25, of 39 Cole St., East Providence, was arrested under a Third Division District Court bench warrant at approximately 3:46 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15, after police responded to suspicious activity outside a triple-decker house.
  • Antonio Ramos, 36, of 11A Evergreen Drive, East Providence, was arrested under a family court warrant at approximately 11:25 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16.
  • Steven Simas, 21, of 238 Beacon Park Drive, was charged with disorderly conduct at approximately 3:25 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 16. 
  • A 17-year-old was charged with underage drinking at 4 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17.
  • Marie Banks, 45, of Providence, was charged with shoplifting after police responded to the Burlington Coat Factory at approximately 11:14 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16. 
  • A 13-year-old boy was charged with simple assault and assault with a dangerous weapon after police responded to a fight at Martin Middle School at approximately 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16. According to the report, a group of boys got into a punching match then dispersed after the boy shot someone in the face with a BB gun. 
  • Edward Couitt, 49, of 25 Charlotte St., was charged with simple assault and battery and disorderly conduct on Monday, Sept. 19.
