• Howell Smith, 28, of 55 Island Ave., in East Providence, was charged with reckless driving, drag racing, and eluding a police officer after a caller reported a suspicious vehicle. According to police reports, all-dark motorbikes was speeding on the train tracks near Phillipsdale Landing. The bikes were then shut off and were walked on foot. Police apprehended the drivers after finding their location.
• Jose Deviveiros, 70, of 96 Anthony St., in East Providence, was charged with simple assault or battery; George Viveiros, 42, of same address, was arrested under a family court warrant at approximately 7:19 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8.
• Michelle Spence, 38, of Pawtucket, was charged with drunk driving, refusing to submit to a chemical test at approximately 12:39 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, after she allegedly crashed her vehicle into a tree.
