Police Looking For Suspect, Car In East Providence Hit-And-Run

The hit-and-run crash on Warren Avenue in East Providence injured a motorcyclist.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — Police in East Providence have identified a car believed to have hit a motorcyclist in a hit-and-run crash earlier this month.

The crash happened just after 1 p.m., Sept. 11 on Warren Avenue at the on-ramp to Route 195 eastbound. The motorcyclist suffered injuries, but survived.

East Providence police said they are looking for a Toyota Prius. The car is a silver and gray four-door hatchback, possibly with a Rhode Island registration plate. Police said the car will have damage on its passenger side front quarter panel, along with a crease on the hood near the grill area.
