EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — The Providence Grand Jury has returned indictment against two suspects in an East Providence robbery, the state Attorney General's office said Thursday. The U.S. Constitution guarantees that a defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
Dafney Gutierrez, 21, and Jeremy Knott, 24, both of Providence, are being charged with conspiracy, first degree robbery, and vandalism.
Police allege that around Dec. 19, 2016 Gutierrez and Knott conspired and robbed an individual in East Providence. According to the indictment, the two allegedly broke a window in the victim's residence.
