Get Your Pets Licensed and Vaccinated This Sunday

City ordinances require all dogs over six months old to be vaccinated.

, the R.I. Veterinary Medical Association, and the Office of the City Clerk will be hosting a rabies clinic and dog licensing event on Sunday, March 25, from 10 a.m. to noon. It will be held at the Engustian Municipal Complex at 60 Commercial Way. 

Important information regarding the event:

  • Dogs and cats three months and older may be vaccinated. Dogs must be leashed and attended by an adult. Cats must be covered and carried. The cost is $10 for the rabies vaccination. Only cash is accepted.
  • City ordinances require all dogs over six months old to be vaccinated. In order for your dog to receive a three year vaccination, you must bring proof of previous vaccination, otherwise, a one year vaccine will be administered.
  • Dog licenses are due annually in April. The license fee is $13 with proof or spay/neuter (Senior/Disabled citizens pay $5.00). If not, the fee is $33 (Senior/Disabled Citizens pay $15.00).
