RI Saturday Morning Political Rally for Health Care

U.S. Sens. Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse and Cong. James Langevin are part of a Rally with Rhode Islanders to Save Health Care

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI—Rallies are being organized nationwide on Saturday over the future of Obamacare. According to U.S. Sen. Jack Reed's office, the rallies are among "a series of events led by Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-NY) and Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT)." The purpose is to send a "message to President Trump and Congressional Republicans that repealing the Affordable Care Act would jeopardize the health and financial security of millions of Americans."

In Rhode Island, the rally starts at 11:30 a.m. at Rhode Island College's Roberts Hall, 600 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence.

Reed, as well as U.S. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse and U.S. Cong. Jim Langevin, are scheduled to attend.
