Rose C. Sylvia, 87

Rose C. (Ferri) Sylvia, of Shore Road, Riverside, East Providence, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Orchard View Manor. She was 87.

She was the wife of the late Antonio Sylvia. She was born in Bristol, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Piccinillo) Ferri.

Sylvia was a saleswomen for the Burlington Coat Factory and previously for the Outlet Company. She was a member of the Bristol Train Artillery, Women's Auxiliary and the East Providence Senior Center.

She leaves one son, Anthony Sylvia and his wife Jo Ann of Riverside, three grandchildren and five great-grandsons. She was the sister of the late Phyllis Perry, Josephine Ormond, Gilda Cavileri, Samuel, Floyd, Theodore and Angelo Ferri.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 8 am from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in St. Brendan's Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside.

Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Calling hours are today from 5-8 pm.
