Snow Removal Fines, Potential Federal Assistance on the East Providence City Council Docket this Tuesday

A proposed stricter penalty for not shoveling your sidewalk, and a resolution seeking assistance from the Environmental Protection Agency, are both among the agenda items on Tuesday night's East Providence City Council meeting.

• Mayor Bruce Rogers is seeking to increase the penalty for people who don't shovel their sidewalks after a storm. 
• Councilman William J. Conley has placed a resolution on the docket seeking assistance from the Environmental Protection Agency in the ongoing dispute over the potential expansion of the waste TLA/Pond View can process each day. 
• Councilman Michael DiGioia is also scheduled to provide updates on the search committee for a new city manager.
• The City Council is also scheduled to meet in executive session regarding a proposed grant for firefighters.
