Undercover Heroin Bust In East Providence
When Taveras was arrested, police said they found nine grams of heroin and/or fentanyl.

EAST PROVIDENCE — Police arrested Johnny Taveras, 23 of Providence on heroine and fentanyl distribution charges after conducting an undercover investigation.
A few weeks ago, East Providence Police said they received phone calls from residents concerned about suspected drug sales going on near Kent Farm Village.
This lead to members of the East Providence Police Vice Unit investigating Taveras. According to police, an undercover police officer made several purchases of heroin and fentanyl from Taveras before arresting him earlier in September.

When Taveras was arrested, police said they found nine grams of heroin and/or fentanyl. Taveras was charged with three counts of drug distribution and possession of a controlled substance.
