Rescue crews responded to Pawtucket Avenue to fix a broken water main and reroute traffic Friday morning. Water flooded the streets, shutting down local business at approximately 8 a.m., according to East Providence police. Students from The Providence Country Day School were let out early, <a href="http://www.abc6.com/story/16460669/watermain-break-in-east-providence" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">according to ABC6 reports</a>. The East Providence High School is still open.
