Where Can You Find a Good Game of Spanish Bingo in East Providence?

Look no further than Agnes B. Hennessey Elementary School, where East Providence High School students are earning community service credit teaching Spanish to kids.

What's your name in Spanish? What month's your birthday?

Students at have been learning Spanish as part of a six-week, after-school program. Their teachers are students who are earning community service credit for their time—and may now be considering a career in teaching.

This is the third year of the program. About 38 students from Hennessey and seven students from the high school participate on Fridays. The Spanish program is one of several after-school options Hennessey offers.
