Woman Accuses Contractor Of Photographing Her In Bathroom
Providence police did not find pictures on the Providence YMCA contractor's phone, but charged him with disorderly conduct.
PROVIDENCE, RI — Police arrested a 51-year-old cleaning contractor at the Providence YMCA Wednesday after a woman accused him of taking photos of her in a locker room.
Police charged Rodolfo Martinez Lopez with disorderly conduct, but they did not find photos on his phone after he agreed to let them search it. Chief Executive Steven O'Donnell said the YMCA of Greater Providence fired Lopez, who was cleaning bathrooms at the Y when the incident was reported.
Police were called to the Y just before 9 a.m. Wednesday after a woman said she saw a hand in a purple glove and holding a phone come underneath the wall dividing her stall from the adjacent one. The woman told police the camera of the phone was turned up.
