• Upcoming Registration Deadline for November 3 General Election (newportthisweek.com) — Exeter voters have until this Sunday, Oct. 4, to register if they want to participate in Rhode Island's Nov. 3 general election. You can register online or drop completed voter registration forms at Exeter Town Hall on Sunday before 4 p.m., with mail ballot applications also available through Oct. 13.
   

• Michael Franklin Lauzon (newportthisweek.com) — A committal service with military honors for Air Force veteran Michael Franklin Lauzon will be held at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 11 a.m. Family and friends are invited to honor his life of service, craftsmanship, and resilience, with donations suggested to the Warm Center in Westerly instead of flowers.
