• Foster Council Cancels Flock Safety Camera Contract (upriseri.com) — Foster residents should know the Town Council has ended its contract for Flock Safety license-plate reader cameras and is moving ahead with a new town vehicle policy and rescue vehicle bid. Councilors also advanced funding paperwork for the new police station, reappointed local board members, and confirmed three charter changes that will appear on the November ballot.
   

• NEW: Flood Watch Issued for Rhode Island By National Weather Service (golocalprov.com) — A National Weather Service flood watch now includes Foster, with heavy showers and possible thunderstorms expected from late tonight through Sunday afternoon. Forecasters warn that 0.5 to 2 inches of rain are likely, with narrow bands potentially dumping up to 4 inches and causing flash flooding in vulnerable areas, so plan weekend travel and outdoor plans carefully.
