• Brothers arrested in connection with Hopkinton suspected overdose death (thewesterlysun.com) — Hopkinton police are investigating a suspected overdose death on Old Hopkinton Cemetery Road and have arrested two Connecticut brothers on fentanyl-related charges. Officers used the victim's phone for a controlled purchase, seized additional suspected narcotics, and are working with the Rhode Island Attorney General's Office to determine whether more serious charges under Kristen's Law may follow.
• New state dashboard tracks housing developments (thewesterlysun.com) — Hopkinton residents can now see three local affordable housing projects—Cardinal Lane I and II and Rockville Mill—listed in a new state dashboard tracking publicly supported developments. The online tool shows where Rhode Island is investing in housing, how many units are planned or completed in each town, and highlights nearby projects in Westerly and Richmond that may influence the broader regional housing market.
