• Euer holds off Lima in Newport's only contested legislative primary (whatsupnewp.com) — Jamestown voters helped reelect Sen. Dawn Euer in the Democratic primary for Senate District 13, where she defeated Angela Lima with about two-thirds of the vote. The race, which covered both Newport and Jamestown, featured two progressive candidates and was Newport's only contested legislative primary, while all other Newport County incumbents ran unopposed.
