Today's riddle: Why do Norway's navy ships all have barcodes? 🤔 (Answer below!)
• Two RI school districts want one superintendent without regionalizing (newportri.com) — Jamestown school leaders are weighing a plan to share a superintendent with Narragansett, aiming to save money while coping with declining enrollment and high housing costs. The move would be a first for Rhode Island, leaving both districts independent but overseen by one leader, and could shape how Jamestown funds and organizes its schools for years.
• Jamestown Bridge work shifts to daytime (wpri.com) — If you rely on the Jamestown Verrazzano Bridge, expect daytime delays as construction shifts to 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays with only one lane open. The work, replacing seven original bridge joints, runs through November before night work resumes on Oct. 13.
