JOHNSTON, RI — A Johnston man was charged with possessing child pornography, police said.
Ryan Lees, 20, was arrested about 6:30 a.m. Thursday, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Lees was arrested by the state police Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the release said.
Lees was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracksand taken to Sixth Division District Court, according to the release.
"Mr. Lees was arraigned before the Honorable Magistrate Joseph P. Ippolito where bail was set at $5,000 with surety, with the special conditions of limited internet access and no contact with minors," the release said.
Lees was held as a bail violator and taken to the Adult Correctional Institutions, according to the release.
