Local standouts racked up goals, assists, kills, and aces as both Panther squads built early-season momentum heading into their next matches.
• Johnston families seek answers on lingering bus issues at school committee meeting (wpri.com) — Johnston parents are demanding fixes to ongoing school bus delays, overcrowding, and missed pickups that have persisted despite recent route changes. Families rallied at Town Hall and planned to press the School Committee and Superintendent Scott Sutherland, while Mayor Joseph Polisena Jr. called for ending the district's contract with transportation provider Zum.
