FM Global Contributes $1.44 Million in Employee and Corporate Giving to the United Way of Rhode Island

USA--FM Global, Rhode Island's largest private company and one of the world's largest commercial property insurers, has contributed over $1.44 million to the United Way of Rhode Island's 2013 campaign. Each year, FM Global hosts a United Way campaign that encourages employees to participate and contribute to the cause.

This year was a record breaking year for the company, with both employee participation and overall employee contribution increasing. Employee participation increased by approximately 20 percent and overall employee contribution increased by 10 percent resulting in an additional $131,000 from the previous year.

For every one dollar that FM Global employees gave to the United Way, the company provided a 2 for 1 match. The first company dollar is earmarked to the United Way of Rhode Island's Community Impact Fund, and the second dollar going to the cause designated by the employee.

FM Global's United Way fundraising events included, Days of Caring, a 5k fun run, an Alex & Ani bangle bar, theme basket raffle, Play-Doh design competition, and Denim Days.
