Class of 2012 'Sets Sail' with Odd Pranks
A heavily-graffitied boat and several dozen plastic spoons were found near the entrance of Johnston High School this morning.
Facilities and Transportation Director David Cournoyer sent us the accompanying photos, showing a boat and hundreds of plastic spoons left in front of of prior to the opening of school today.
Cournoyer wrote that it was apparently a "senior prank" by members the graduating class.
The small boat, graffitied in blue lettering saying "Mad Class of 2012" and "Will Stay Afloat," sat in front of the high school entrance, with an orange construction cone standing nearby to direct traffic around the site.

On the grassy strip in front of the school next to the flagpole, white plastic spoons had been half-buried in the turf, with "Class of 2012" written on them, Cournoyer wrote in an email message this morning.
