Crews Battle 2-Alarm Fire At Johnston Chinese Food Restaurant

JOHNSTON, RI — The State Fire Marshal is investigating a Wednesday morning fire that reached two alarms and caused damage to businesses in the Johnston Plaza. Johnston fire was called to the the Hei Plaza restaurant early in the morning and were greeted with heavy smoke.

Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the Chinese restaurant, but fire officials on the scene told WPRI-TV that other businesses in the plaza sustained smoke damage.
