Compounder / Batch Maker

Are you experienced in product compounding in the personal care or food Manufacturing industry – a true team leader who can motivate and inspire Associates to reach their maximum potential?
Pure Haven LLC is looking for an experienced Compounder for our fast growing personal care manufacturing department. The ideal candidate has personal care products compounding or batch making experience.
The Compounder Will:
· Perform daily start-up scale calibration verification checks.
· Ensure the quality of the physical properties of the product and finished products (no foreign matter, color is within specification, aerated product or inconsistent viscosity).
· Perform Set-Up Quality Checks.
· Verifies ingredients per batch sheet.
· Ensure that all ingredients and the proper amounts of ingredient are available.
· Utilize the FIFO Method for issuing ingredients to a batch.
· Use the proper in-process forms [e.g., product, item, temperature, mixing speed, change in codes or new items]
· Use the assigned lot code sequence for product families and properly issues product to the Product Order.
· Ensure proper equipment set-ups (e.g., temperature, speed, mixing speed and timings for each step per the batch sheet).
· Cleaning and sanitizing of equipment according to the equipment log sheets.
· Assist Research & Development team in the manufacture of pilot batches.
· Use the computer to evaluate ingredient inventory control and batch sheet issuance, generates various computer reports and enters and retrieves data from the computer system, as required.
· Responsible for maintaining sanitary conditions of processing equipment and processing area.
The Compounder Must Have:
· A high school diploma or equivalent.
· Practical work experience with a batching making process of blends in a cosmetic, personal care or food manufacturing environment.
· Must be able to convert pounds, ounces, kilos, grams and other liquid measurements.
· Must be a team player
· Must have the ability to multi-task.
· Must possess good mathematical aptitude and problem solving skills.
· Must comply with safety regulations.
· Ability to interpret and communicate policies & procedures clearly.
· Strong organizational skills.
