The Neutaconkanut Hill Conservancy has scheduled an Earth Day project on Neutaconkanut Hill. Rather than concentrate on ‘litter,’ a problem for all parks in each area of our City, we have chosen to continue our program of revitalizing this 88-acre natural ‘jewel’ in our capitol city.

Projects: We will continue to replenish a grove of evergreen trees that have nearly disappeared from the Hill; seed/re-seed grassy areas; replace wood chips on the hiking trails that the heavy rains have washed away, and remove invasive vines. If time allows, we will venture down to the original site of the (long gone) King Homestead Gates on Plainfield St. to clear litter that has gathered in this area.

We invite all to JOIN US ON APRIL21; Help us keep this Natural Forest in our City the beautiful and unique place that it is.
