Obituary: Catherine "Kay" (Asciolla) DeMichele, 87

Catherine "Kay" (Asciolla) DeMichele, 87, of Deer View Rd., Johnston, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence surrounded by her loving family.  

She was the beloved wife for 66 years of Louis “Tony” DeMichele.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Emilio and Angela (Buonfiglio) Asciolla.

Kay was an inspector at General Electric in Providence before retiring.

Besides her husband, she was the devoted mother of Anthony L. DeMichele and his wife Lorraine “Goody” of Saunderstown and Angela M. Silvaggio and her husband James of El Paso, TX; loving grandmother of Adam DeMichele and his wife Andrea, Jessica Silvaggio-Galbreath and her husband Gabe and Jason Silvaggio; loving great-grandmother of Lily and Carter DeMichele; and sister of Frank Asciolla of North Providence and the late Josephine Nardi and Claire Conti.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, 30 Fenner St., Providence.

Entombment will be private and visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
