Woman Killed In Johnston Christmas Eve Crash
A woman died on Wednesday from injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash Plainfield Pike and Pippin Orchard Road Tuesday night.
JOHNSTON, R.I. – A Christmas Eve crash in Johnston left one woman dead and two more people injured. Johnston police said the woman who was pronounced dead on Wednesday was one of the drivers in the crash at Plainfield Pike and Pippin Orchard Road involving a car and an SUV.
Johnston Deputy Chief Joseph Razza told WLNE-TV that speed may have been a contributing factor in the crash, but that there were no immediate signs of alcohol, drugs or distracted driving. Johnston police continue to investigate the crash on Thursday.
The driver and passenger of the second vehicle were treated for minor injuries.
