LINCOLN, RI — A Massachusetts man was charged with stealing $1,000 worth of chips from a Bally's Lincoln Casino roulette table, police said.
Arturo Ramos, 57, was arrested about 12:30 p.m. Thursday by the Rhode Island State Police Gaming Enforcement Unit, the state police said in a media release.
Ramos, a resident of Sharon, was charged with larceny, according to the release.
The arrest was the "result of a Gaming Enforcement Unit investigation (Monday) of the larceny of $ 1,000-value casino cheques at a roulette table at the Bally's Twin River Lincoln Casino Resort and securing an arrest warrant," according to the release.
"Mr. Ramos turned himself in and was processed Lincoln Woods Barracks and transported to Third District Court for an arraignment," the release said.
Mr. Ramos was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail, according to the release.
