Journey Through 300 Years on Great Road Day for Free

Dating to 1683, the Great Road in Lincoln, Rhode Island is home to numerous historic structures that have withstood time and offer a glimpse of life in this community over three centuries. The annual Great Road Day offers visitors the opportunity to step inside for free admission at several participating sites covering 300 years of history during the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries.  Visitors may take tours on their own schedule and in any particular order during the hours of 11 am-4 pm.  A map to all the sites may be picked up at any of the properties.  

Sites having special exhibits related to the 250th anniversary include Blackstone Valley Historical Society and the Hearthside House Museum.  All the sites are hosted by volunteers who are there to welcome and provide information to visitors about the site.

Pullen's Corner One-Room Schoolhouse (1850) - Great Road Heritage Campus at Chase Farm Park-671 Great Road

Hannaway Blacksmith Shop (1880)-Great Road Heritage Campus at Chase Farm Park - 671 Great Road

Moffett Mill (1812) - Accessed by shuttle van only from Hearthside House

Hearthside House Museum (1810)  - 677 Great Road

Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge (1804) - 1093 Great Road

Northgate-Blackstone Valley Historical Society - 1873 Louisquisset Pike

Arnold's Lonsdale Bakery - (1874) - 1873 Louisquisset Pike
