15h Annual Fall Car/Truck/Motorcycle Festivalv at Fort /Adams - Middletown Rotary

Car/Truck/Motorcycle Festival at Fort Adams State Park, over 400 vehicles in 45 classes

On Sunday, September 25, 2016, (rain date Sunday, October 2, 2016) the Middletown Rotary Club will hold its 15th Annual Fall Car/Truck/Motorcycle Festival at Fort Adams State Park, Newport, RI. The event brings together a myriad of vehicle types such as sports cars, hot rods, custom trucks, motorcycles, and muscle cars. Corvette owners have a particular liking for the event as at least 30 of these vehicles are usually presented. There are 45 Classes of vehicles. In past years, over 400 vehicles were shown by their owners and we expect more this year. The event has grown in reputation every year and is considered one of the best car shows in Southern New England. Registration for entrants starts at 9:00AM and ends at 11:30AM with judging being done by the Peer Judging method. The Awards Presentation will occur at 2:00PM. The Festival is open to spectators (no charge) from 10:00am to 3:00pm. As always, Cruisin’ Bruce is in charge of the great sounds, providing energy as only he can. This year all participants and spectators will have the opportunity to “Fuel the Soup Kitchen” by donating non-perishable food items at the show.

The Middletown Rotary Club was founded in 1953 and has provided continuous support for Middletown and other Aquidneck Island causes, as well as national and international charitable needs. They award scholarships to Middletown High School graduates, are an active supporter of the Newport County YMCA, funded six benches for the Dunlop Wheeler Park, perform numerous rehabilitation projects at Middletown’s Lucy’s Hearth, and continue to support the Cambodian Pure Water/Literacy Project at the Angkor Children’s Hospital
