• Middletown Zoning Board OKs Short-Term Rental, 4-1 (upriseri.com) — Middletown's Zoning Board has approved, 4-1, a special-use permit for an owner-occupied short-term rental in the Birchwood Manor neighborhood despite concerns from three longtime neighbors about parking, congestion, and enforcement. Board members stressed that town rules now allow only owner-occupied short-term rentals and said the applicant met those standards. Neighbors still have the option to appeal the decision to Superior Court.
