• Rhode Island Foundation gives out $5.4M in Grants for Housing, Food, Health Care and Police Training (rinewstoday.com) — Middletown is set to benefit directly from Rhode Island Foundation grants, with $65,000 for CIT-RI's police behavioral-health training and another $65,000 for Aquidneck Community Table's new year-round food and community hub near the Newport border. The broader $5.4 million package also supports housing, health care, education, arts, and environmental efforts across the state, aiming to ease rising costs and strengthen community services.
