Today's riddle: What has a tail, but no body? đ€ (Answer below!)
1. Middletown Zoning Caps Vacant McDonald's Lot at Six Units (upriseri.com) â Middletown officials are weighing whether a long-vacant former McDonald's lot on West Main Road can host roughly 30 small rental units, even though current zoning only allows six. Planning Board members voiced support for denser workforce housing but must now explore zoning changes or an affordable-housing permit process before any formal application moves forward.

2. Dad identifies Middletown crash victim as 1-year-old daughter (wpri.com) â A 1-year-old girl was killed in a fiery crash on West Main Road in Middletown last week, a collision police say followed a high-speed pursuit that began in Portsmouth. Her father has since visited a growing roadside memorial, sharing his grief while the driver faces multiple DUI and driving-to-endanger charges.
  Â
3. Turkey's Gravy Days Just Beginning (ecori.org) â Middletown's once-notorious traffic-stopping turkey, Gravy, has been permanently relocated to the Wildlife Clinic of Rhode Island, where he'll serve as an education ambassador instead of chasing cars. After multiple run-ins with vehicles and rehabilitation attempts, state wildlife officials decided he's too habituated to people to live safely in town, but locals can still visit and learn from him in his new North Kingstown home.
  Â
4. Newport International Boat Show opens Thursday with more than 450 boats across seven sites (whatsupnewp.com) â Middletown anglers may want to visit the Newport International Boat Show starting Thursday, where Middletown-based The Saltwater Edge is running free fishing seminars and casting clinics. The four-day harbor-wide event features hundreds of boats, educational sessions, and a discounted Community Day for Newport County residents, with shuttles and ferries helping locals get there easily.
