Batter Up! Middletown Little League Ready for Opening Day

The Middletown Little League 2011 season gets into full swing Saturday with a morning filled with opening ceremonies and team photos before the teams hit the fields.

The morning's tightly choreographed events take place from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Aquidneck Avenue Field Complex.

The Opening Day lineup includes the annual Parade of Teams, team photos, a special guest speaker, and ceremonial first pitch, according to the MLL website. Photos will be taken between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. following the schedule below and the Opening Day Ceremony is scheduled for 9 a.m.

Of course, Opening Day is all about playing ball and the first official games of the season will be the day's main event, available to view here.

Additional photos will resume at 10 a.m. at the field, according to the schedule below.

Tee Ball photos will be taken at a game to be announced, according to the MLL website. More information about team photos can be found by clicking here. 

Organizers and parents recommend getting to Aquidneck Field early or carpooling because parking can be tight.
