Grief looks different for children than it does for adults, and children need opportunities to express it in ways that make sense for their age and development.
Join us for a hands-on Memory Box Workshop, designed to give children and teens a meaningful, tangible way to honor and remember the people they love and miss.
Led by Stacey Malcolm, MS, CCLS, Certified Child Life Specialist and owner of Healing Hearts, this workshop invites children and teens (ages 2–18) to create a memory box that is uniquely their own. Families are encouraged to bring a special item to include in the box, such as a photograph, a letter to or from their loved one, a small keepsake, or another meaningful object. All decorating materials and art supplies will be provided.
This is not a drop-off event. Caregivers must remain for the duration of the workshop to support their child throughout the experience. Memory-making activities often open the door to important conversations, offering families a chance to remember, connect, and heal together in a safe, supportive environment.
Whether your child experienced a recent loss or is continuing to navigate grief months or years later, this workshop provides a compassionate space to remember, create, and connect.
